Body #319 [2022]
A short film that follows the story of Charlie and Layman, as they come across an abandoned couch in the middle of the city. A dialogue on the insecurities of an artist, and challenges on finding meaning through the mundane.
Through this film, I want to explore the dichotomy that happens in my mind, and most other artists' minds on the pursuit of a legacy. What is left after the death of an artist? Why is it important to leave something behind? What is the cost of an immortality project and how do you deal with not making something that will last?
The answers that the film proposes lies in the importance of human connections that are found in those pursuits, and not the legacy themselves.
